Temporary service disruption on March 3, 2026

Starting in the morning on March 3, 2026, HomeMoney became significantly slower for many users.

At approximately 20:00 Kyiv time, the website and app were temporarily made completely unavailable.

Service was restored at 23:00 Kyiv time.

HomeMoney is now operating normally.

Technical details

The incident was caused by an error in our integration with an external exchange-rate provider.

That day, the exchange rate for the Iranian currency exceeded the value supported by our current database structure. The code did not handle this scenario correctly.

As a result:

• the exchange rate could not be saved to the local cache;
• caching stopped working;
• the system began calling the external API directly;
• the API request limit was quickly exceeded.

Diagnosing and identifying the cause took several hours.
